Multiple Face Swap Guide for Group Photos
Group scenes fail when identity mapping is rushed. A structured pass-by-pass method improves consistency and reduces rework.
Step 1: Prepare clean source references per person
Use one clear reference selfie per individual. Keep lighting and angle as neutral as possible to reduce mismatch artifacts.
- Name files by person to avoid source confusion.
- Prefer front-facing photos with full facial visibility.
- Avoid heavily filtered source images.
Step 2: Swap one face at a time
Do not process all faces in one aggressive pass. Sequential swaps usually produce more stable edge blending.
- Start with the largest, most central face.
- Check skin tone transition and jawline alignment.
- Move to side faces after validating the primary subject.
Step 3: Run a consistency check at small size
Many errors are obvious only at social-feed size. Test the result as a thumbnail and full image.
- Confirm each identity is still recognizable.
- Watch for repeated texture artifacts across faces.
- Export two versions: high detail and compressed social-ready.
When to regenerate
If one person looks over-processed, regenerate only that region rather than restarting the entire group image.
